The trip was a celebration to kick off the Drei Streifen in Snowboarding. The good crew at Adidas invited a few Tactics employees up to the old DOS building in Portland, now ‘The Silas Skatepark’, for some drinks, dinner and good conversation, not to mention some great skating. A carload rolled up to the Ed Benedict Skate Park to shred a little before the event. What was a little skating brought mad clips and the marble ledges still stand for another session.
After that, we fled into traffic ending up at the Adidas kick-off right on time. Another carload of Tactics heads met up and we found ourselves being introduced to the Adidas snow team. They were so welcoming I don’t think any of us ever gave our invitation. If a passerby would have wandered in by accident, they would have got a hearty welcome and a tour, along with food and drink.
The celebration wasn’t a huge party but an opportunity for us to get to know Adidas Snowboarding from the roots, give feedback, and check out what’s coming up this season. Check the skate edit below to see the good vibe the whole place brought. One could barely tell it was a snowboarding kick-off because the skating was so good. The entire Tactics crew shredded the skatepark gathering some more clips in light of the celebration.
